In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 air travel apps on the Android platform in Nigeria showed varying performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Wakanow: Flights, Hotels, Cars started the quarter with strong weekly downloads of over 25K, but saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at around 10K. Despite this, the app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, starting at 120K and ending at 135K.

Qatar Airways experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads from 506 in the first week of January to a peak of 7.7K in mid-March. Correspondingly, its weekly active users increased from 3.1K to over 15K by the end of the quarter.

Ethiopian Airlines saw moderate growth in downloads, starting at 1.9K and peaking at 3K in mid-February, before settling around 1.9K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady increase from 6.4K to 8K throughout the quarter.

Air Peace experienced a modest growth in downloads, beginning at 799 and peaking at 1.2K in the last week of March.
